Me & my Sketchy Sidekick!
One of my FAVORITE sketchy buddies was visiting the Keys- and he took time out of his vacay to ART with me! We had such a great time! He had the amazing idea of both of us starting a drawing then switching every few minutes. - so what you see above is the “fruit” of our labor ! (See what I did there?😉) I love those pictures and loved learning from him! His specialty is dragons and does amazing details in his work! But that was a really fun excercise to try! WHAT’s UP COCONUT
MAY starts our busy time with the other part of our business- performing at schools, resorts, libraries and such. May is when we also do a lot of our
“5 Star Moxy” Customer Service Trainings. We do these a lot for summer camp and resort staff. If you are interested in this call Randall.
Because we start getting busier with these events, we don’t have as many public paint parties- and lots of private end of the school year, bridal, and birthday paint parties.

May 4- BATIK CLASS! By Dottie! Held at our Coconuts Art Studio in Islamorada, 1-3 , $50 per person limited space! Batik is a wax relief technique that will be done on silk- below is the design- (GREAT MOTHERS DAY GIFT!)
May 4- MOTHER’s DAY painting! 6-8PM , at our studio. We have several options of things you can paint $45 per person, AND you can BRING YOUR MOM for FREEEEE to paint with you! This will be after batik class- Limited space! Reserve your space now and tell us if you are bringing your Mom!
Tuesdays- 4ish til 7 ish you can find us at the iconic Robbie’s of Islamorada for our drop by Coconut Painting Party!

You may not realize how your art may inspire someone else! That’s why I love painting with others. You can see in the picture above my original example then my inspirational artists and then my new one! I like my different one better than my first- and it was all because of the inspiration I got from the other ARTISTS (yes I just called you an Artist!) and I love what they did too!!! So don’t come at me with the “I’m not an artist” - someone may need your inspiration!

We hid 5 coconuts in the past few days! We are still hiding some Key Lime painted coconuts at the people’s choice of their favorite Key Lime Pie places! HInt:Randall is saving one to hide at KEYS BITES in Key Largo - bc we love their Key Lime Pie!!! Also we hid a square-ish grouper painted coconut yesterday 4/20.
